Domestic Mail Policies

 

General policies: Our postage calculations are based more on size than weight. Our products more often than not are cheaper being mailed USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes rather than standard shipping. This is based primarily on the fact up to 70 lbs can be shipped using a flat rat box and our products often are sand and rock, both heavy items. The USPS flat rate boxes are 11"x8.5"x5.5" or 13.625" x 11.875" x 3.375 for $9.80 or a larger style that is 12" x 12" x 5.5" for $12.95. In addition to we might add an additional packing fee for packaging or special packaging services, these will most often be added on non Flat Rate Box shipments to account for material being used. You may either use the automated shipping calculator or email us for a shipping quote. Please however if you are order something basic like one or two Zen Gardens with a few accessories use the automated calculator, our system is based on those items and our shipping quotes would be the same. If you feel shipping is to high we would be happy to look into it for you.

Zen Gardens: Orders over 3 1/2 lbs will ship in a priority Flat Rate Box. This essentially means a single Zen Garden will require a shipping cost of $9.80, for two Zen Gardens roughly $14.00 and Three $19.00 for Domestic Shipping. Shipping multiple (3 or more) Large Zen Gardens we can no longer use a Priority Flat Rate Box and have to use Parcel Post, we will ship up to three Zen Gardens domestic mail using our default settings. Please contact us for a shipping quote if you are wanting more than three Zen Gardens. Please note a Large Standard Zen Garden weighs roughly 4 1/2 lbs with its sand.

Zen Garden Accessories: Rule of thumb is 3-4 small items such as candles, stones, incense, etc will ship inside the Flat Rate Box. We have had to and will remove items from their original packaging in order to get them all in the box with the Zen Garden. The way automated shipping prices are set up you can get several items shipped free if you order the Zen Garden, which has room in its box.

Paintings: Paintings shipping costs vary, some may be priced others you will need to notify us prior to ordering.

Stone: Small quantities ship per weight unless combined as per above with a Zen Garden. We not ship any larger stone boxed with a Zen Garden due to the damage it will cause. Most our rough stone will ship Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. The USPS flat rate boxes are 11"x8.5"x5.5" or 13.625" x 11.875" x 3.375 for $9.80 or a larger style that is 12" x 12" x 5.5" for $12.95. These hold up to 70 lbs, which means they can be fully loaded in most cases. When ordering rough stone generally any order over 3 1/2 pounds or so is going to be shipped flat rate box. Consider filling the box to enjoy the most savings! This cost no extra shipping, we provide approximate stone sizes for you to calculate into filling a box.
